Data collection
DivPic does not collect the content of your screenshots or your browsing history. Captured images are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
What we collect
- Anonymous usage analytics: DivPic sends anonymous feature-usage events (for example, which capture mode was used) to Google Analytics via the GA4 Measurement Protocol. These events are tied to a random, per-install identifier, not to your name, email, or the content you capture. No page URLs, page content, or personal data are included.
Firefox: analytics is optional. Nothing is sent unless you opt in to technical and interaction data, either when installing or later in about:addons.
- Account information (optional): If you choose to sign in with Google to use Figma export features, your Google email address and Google account ID are stored in our backend (Supabase) solely to identify your account. Sign-in is entirely optional: all screenshot capture features work without an account.
What we do not collect
- Content of screenshots or captured elements
- Browsing history or visited URLs
- Passwords, financial information, or health data
- Any data from pages you visit beyond what is needed to render the screenshot on your device
Permissions
The extension requires these permissions for basic functionality:
activeTab: to capture the current tab's visible areadownloads: to save screenshots to your Downloads foldernotifications: to confirm successful savesclipboardWrite: to copy screenshots to the clipboardstorage: to save your preferences locallyidentity: to support optional Google sign-in for Figma export- Access to all websites (
<all_urls>): to capture elements on any page you choose, and to load the images on that page when building a Figma export. Images are fetched from the same servers the page already loads them from, and are processed on your device only.
Safari (Mac App Store): Safari has no downloads, notifications or identity permissions, so DivPic saves files through the page, shows confirmations inside the page, and runs the optional Google sign-in in a normal Safari tab. For that it also asks for tabs, used only to notice when the sign-in tab reaches DivPic's sign-in page so it can read the sign-in result and close the tab. DivPic does not read or store the addresses of your other tabs.
Deleting your account
If you signed in, you can delete your account at any time from DivPic's settings (gear icon → Delete account) in the Safari app and in Chrome and Firefox versions after 4.2.1, or by emailing ragulsundaram15@gmail.com. This permanently removes your email address and Google account ID from our backend. Signing out alone only removes them from your browser.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics (GA4): anonymous usage analytics
- Supabase: account storage for signed-in users only
